The Scapes & Décor brand kit.

Logos, colours, typography, voice and application templates — everything needed to represent the firm consistently, inside and outside the company.

01 · The mark

A heritage seal.

An italic serif "S" interlocked with a roman "D" inside a hairline gold ring. Classical, engraved, quietly premium. The mark reads cleanly from a favicon to a billboard — it is vector and scales without loss.

02 · Lockups

Mark + wordmark.

Use the horizontal lockup as the default. The stacked variant works better in tight vertical formats (app icons, square social). The wordmark alone is reserved for contexts where the mark has already been established.

03 · Usage

Clear space & minimum size.

S D
Breathing room equal to the height of the "S". Keep at least that much clear space between the mark and any other element — type, photography, borders. At small sizes, don't go below 24 px for digital or 8 mm for print — the ring and interlocked letters begin to muddy below that.
Do
  • Use on warm neutral backgrounds (stone, linen, off-white) or on deep forest / charcoal.
  • Use the monochrome forest or charcoal variants when single-colour printing.
  • Use the on-dark variant when the background is darker than 40% grey.
  • Keep the horizontal lockup as the default for letterheads, email, and web.
Don't
  • Don't stretch, skew, or rotate the mark or lockup.
  • Don't recolour individual letters — the S stays forest-green, the D stays terracotta.
  • Don't place the mark on busy photography without a darkening overlay.
  • Don't use the wordmark alone unless the mark has been shown on the same page.
  • Don't add drop shadows, bevels, or outlines to the mark.
04 · Colour

Warm, grounded, climate-honest.

A palette of earth and estate — forest for structure, terracotta for accent, gold for heritage, warm neutrals for everything in between. Click any swatch to copy its hex.

05 · Typography

A classical serif meets a modern sans.

Playfair Display carries the headlines, display quotes and wordmark — italic variants do the accent work. Inter carries the body, navigation, forms and everything functional. Both load from Google Fonts.

06 · Voice

How we sound.

Trustworthy, grounded, premium-practical. Like an established estate-management firm — not corporate and cold, not rustic or folksy. We write the way we work: plainly, directly, without exaggeration.

Grounded

We describe what we actually do. "We replaced the guttering last Tuesday" beats "delivering best-in-class property solutions."

Quietly premium

Taste and precision are shown, not claimed. The typography, the colour, the photography already say "premium" — the words can stay simple.

Practitioner's tone

Names the materials, the techniques, the climate constraints. "Kikuyu lawn," "Highveld dry season," "aluminium scaffold" — specificity signals expertise.

Accountable

Short, concrete sentences. Never promise what the crew can't deliver. "We'll be on site Tuesday 8am" beats "we look forward to partnering with you."
