Grounds that look considered in every season.

Design, installation and long-term care of estate grounds — tailored to the Zimbabwean climate and the way your property actually lives.

Landscaping, practised properly.

Good landscaping in Zimbabwe is not decoration — it is a working system of soil, water, plant and hardscape that has to perform through a long dry season, a short wet one, and the occasional hail-storm in between. We design grounds that respect that reality.

Our landscaping practice covers the full arc: early-stage site analysis, soil preparation, lawn establishment, irrigation, planting schemes, hedging, hardscape features and ongoing grounds care. On most estates we stay on beyond installation — because a newly planted garden needs a gardener who knows what was planted, why, and what it looks like when it's thriving.

We work with residential estates, commercial premises and institutional grounds across Harare and the surrounding Highveld. Whether you want a clean-lined modern estate, a traditional indigenous planting or something in between, the standard of execution doesn't change.

Scope of landscaping works.

A typical engagement draws from the following — scoped to your site, priorities and budget.

From first walk-through to established grounds.

01

Consult

Walk the site together. Understand how the property is used, what's working and what isn't.

02

Design

Planting plan, hardscape layout and irrigation schematic — with costed options.

03

Prepare

Soil amendment, levelling, irrigation trenching — the unglamorous work that decides the outcome.

04

Install

Turf, planting, hardscape and commissioning of irrigation — under supervision.

05

Care

Establishment care for the first season, then ongoing retainer or hand-off.

A look at recent grounds work.

Questions we get before every job.

Which grass type do you recommend for Harare?

It depends on the property. Kikuyu is the workhorse — hardy, forgiving and quick to establish. LM Buffalo is the better choice for shaded areas and low-traffic ornamental lawns. Cynodon (couch) suits sports surfaces and high-wear zones. We walk the site, look at sun, soil and use, and recommend accordingly — often a mix by zone.

How do you handle water rationing and drought?

We design for water availability from day one. That means drip irrigation where possible, mulching to reduce evaporation, drought-tolerant species in exposed zones, and irrigation controllers that can dial back automatically. For properties on borehole or municipal supply, we build storage and programme schedules around the most restrictive case.

Do you offer one-off installs or only retainers?

Both. Many clients engage us for a one-off establishment and manage their own grounds afterwards — we're happy to train an in-house gardener as part of hand-over. Others prefer we stay on under a monthly retainer. We don't push retainer-only — it's your property.

How long before a new install looks "finished"?

Lawn knits in 4–8 weeks in season. Beds look intentional from day one but come into their own over the first 12 months. Hedges take 18–36 months to reach screening height depending on species. We publish a realistic establishment timeline with every installation proposal.
